No abstract is required.
Use headings to guide the reader and organize all sections.
Introduction with a clear thesis statement presented by the end.
Within the report, the following should be presented:
Frequencies of data by relevant score criterion points.
Create tables (APA style) or graphs that illustrate the data effectively.
A project overview with a brief summary and descriptive data.
A summary of the pre-training and post-training ACE scores.
Report any relevant statistics (mean, median, range, standard deviation, variance, skew, etc.)
Calculate a frequency summary of the percent of the analysts that met each relevant criterion outlined in the assignment for the ACE test with a graph.
Clear conclusion/discussion section explaining what the descriptive statistics tell you about the training. Finish your discussion with a brief recommendation regarding training in the future for analysts.
Use APA citations and a reference page.
For this assignment, you will be working through some Training Data. Use the excel file located in the content for this section for your assignment, and use the excel resources in section 4 to install the add-on (if you haven’t already installed it). You may also want to look for additional resources to guide you. You should be focusing on the following statistics in your report:

Mean and Median
Measures of Dispersion
Skew
Frequencies of data by relevant score criterion points
You should also plan to make tables (APA style) or graphs that illustrate the data effectively. The following is the scenario you’ll be responding to:

Assume the data in the excel file is from an organization that employs a number of analysts across the country to work on technology solutions. These analysts are measured yearly to determine proficiency, raises, and other organizational decisions using an in-house assessment known as the Analysts Comprehensive Examination (ACE). This measure is out of 100 and is scored using computer adaptive testing. Analysts are considered proficient with a score of 80 or higher on the test. Scores lower than 75 are a flag for administrative decisions regarding that analyst or the regional manager. Scores above 85 reflect analysts that exceed their proficiency goals and are desirable employees for retention.

The regional manager for one of the markets has been concerned because his recent annual data for his analysts ACE test showed a mean score that is just under proficient. He is hoping that since it is under by such a small margin, only a small amount of training might be needed. After running descriptive statistics on his data, you realize that there may be bigger problems than just needing the mean score to increase by one point. You suggest the need for a larger training than he had initially planned, due to the data. He follows your advice and runs a three-day training from analysts in his market and across the different divisions he oversees. The analysts are then allowed to retake the ACE assessment.

Your file contains a breakdown of the data for the employees in the market who participated in the training and their pre and post-training ACE scores (as well as their positions, location, division, and gender). Create an evaluation report addressing the following:

A project overview, which should include:
Write a brief summary of the training group, including descriptive information about the demographics of the groups (position, location, division, and gender). This can be done in paragraph form.
This section should also include a summary of the project (since this is a fictional project, you can be creative with adding details). This should be written as though you’re sending it to the client. You should summarize the information provided about proficiency scores, and any other information you would typically find in this type of report.
A summary of the pre-training and post-training ACE scores. You may use the instructions in content section 4 to calculate descriptive statistics in excel.
You should report any relevant statistics (mean, median, range, standard deviation, variance, skew, etc) that you learned about in this course.
You should calculate a frequency summary of the percent of the analysts that met each relevant criterion outlined in the assignment for the ACE test. You should have a graph illustrating this information.
You should create graphs of any critical information from the ACE tests that will illustrate the data in a visual form for the client. The type of graph or information summarized is up to you.
You should have a discussion section explaining what the descriptive statistics tell you about the training. Consider the following questions in your discussion:
Why might skew be expected with assessment data for a skilled population? What does skew mean in this context, and why might a normal distribution be less valuable in this type of sample, than if the assessment were given to the population as a whole? (HINT: think about what the data would show if the assessment were given to non-analysts and analysts)
What relevance do you see with standard deviation for this type of data and sample? Is a large or small standard deviation more important in this assignment, and why?
The client mentioned that the mean before the training showed that the analyst group was just below proficiency. Based on your analysis, is his assumption correct?
Finish your discussion with a brief recommendation regarding training in the future for analysts.
